My last Fall term at the University of Oregon is coming to an end. It is surreal to think that my life will have changed so much by this time next year. This part of my life is full of so many “lasts”, but the future is bright. I learned so much about communication and media that will allow me to succeed in a career as a public relations professional!
In the last ten weeks I have created a lot of travel related content because I chose to to explore the travel and tourism industry in my blog and throughout my PR class. I was challenged to produce various types of public relations content that you can now find in my ePortfolio here. Although I do enjoy traveling, I realized that the travel industry might not be the best place for me to develop a career in public relations.

My goal is to strengthen community groups and foster meaningful relationships. I would like to continue learning more communication skills in a central location rather than in an industry as broad as travel and tourism.
I hope to continue using this blog as a way to share more of my experiences studying abroad in Spain and visiting other parts of Europe. The previous posts written for class helped me to think about my future as a public relations professional. Every day I discover more about my own goals and interests, and every day I get closer to choosing what type of professional I want to become.
I am thankful for the resources I have access to at the School of Journalism and Communication that prepare me for the transition into the workforce. I hope that you will keep following my journey of self-discovery. There are bound to be plenty of more surprises ahead.
