Dutch Bros MOB (Masters Of Broista-ing):

**The guardians working to build, protect, and unite the DB brand and culture

I recently accepted a position with Dutch Bros to travel and help train broistas at stores opening in new locations! I took off on my first trip December 21st and found myself in Visalia, California. This being my first trip, I had few ideas about what to expect, but high hopes that this would be the start of a very happy journey. I was lucky to be one of the mobsters there from the very beginning. The rest of the group arrived in waves over the next few weeks.

The first few days were spent putting away stock and organizing the shop to be set up for efficiency on grand opening day, December 31st. I was away from home for Christmas this year, but not without a family. The small group of us that spent the holiday together, road-tripped to Pismo Beach on Christmas Eve. It was a fun day, but it definitely felt strange to be at the beach for Christmas. The next day we got together for a Christmas morning brunch and then we were invited to spend the evening at the Visalia operator's home with the whole leadership team.

After a sweet little holiday break we jumped right into "2-Day Training." These were long days of training and talking non-stop. A few of us even lost our voices! I'm so glad that I had the opportunity to be a part of this first leg of training because it was my favorite part. When I first thought about applying for the MOB position, I was most excited about teaching the new hires all about what it truly means to be a part of Dutch Bros. In the first couple days, we laid out the foundation for what the DB culture is and how we can promote the values of the company. We get to spread Dutch Luv to a whole community that has never experienced anything like Dutch Bros before. Dutch Bros promotes kindness, positivity and love for all. This is also a place where our leaders care about our growth in and outside of the stand. I got to talk with the new broistas about the community they're now a part of and how this job will change them in ways they can't begin to know.

The number one thing I have learned since I started working for Dutch Bros is that you never know what someone else might be going through. Each of us has a story with good times and bad. It takes time to understand the importance of our role talking with people at the window every day. We get to be a friend and confidant for every person we meet. You never know how you could change someone with something as simple as a smile and a genuine "how are you?"

This has been the most refreshing experience with some of the most wonderful people. Every mobster on the road with me embodies DB culture through and through. I'm so proud to be part of a team like this one. Every day we walk into the stand, it's so clear that each person is there to work hard and serve others.

We can depend on one another to work together with purpose and good energy. My first experience of life on the road has made me want to be better and do better for the communities I serve and the people I work alongside of. I am eager to continue with more MOB trips, meet new friends and introduce new communities to Dutch Bros and our unmatched culture.

"We are a fun loving, mind-blowing company that makes a difference one cup at a time!" -Travis Boersma
